Surface tension – the beginning

A good thing about a Lagrangian solver is that the interface is simply there and is allowed to advect freely. Therefore, we’ve used its geometrical information to include a pressure gradient due to the surface tension. Some lines of code, 5 minutes of setting up a 0g test simulation, and a new video is born. Check out the video below, in which sharp corners generate significant pressure gradients (due to small curvature radius) and consequently droplet oscillations.
